About Us

We are a small, local family with big ideas and values. The property that Firefly Outpost occupies has been in the family for over 100 years, and we love the idea of sharing it with others. Our aim is to provide a comfortable stay for people who want to experience nature without the hassle of buying and hauling gear. We also work very hard to promote sustainability and a wonder for nature. You will find trails and treehouses, meadows and hidden glades, and signs to educate you about the plants, animals, landscape and sustainable measures we have taken in curating this one of a kind experience. Whether you are looking for deer tracks on the trails, socializing at the common area hangout, relaxing by your private firepit, wildlife viewing in our unique birdnest deck, exploring our sunken greenhouse, or playing a game of croquet or ladderball, we have something for everyone. 

We are Greg and Gabrielle Tegeder, and we own and operate Firefly Outpost. We both grew up and live in the Omaha area and have a lot of family here - including our five children, three of which have their own families here as well.
